A Payload Saving Service Truck Bed and Flatbed Fusion
Knapheide’s steel Combo Body provides users with the best of both worlds – a service body and a platform body, all rolled into one – but it might not be the best solution for those trying to conserve payload capacity. And because Knapheide understands that work trucks aren’t one-size-fits-all, we set out to create a new, lighter weight option.
This Aluminum Combo Body prototype provides the same great benefits as its steel counterpart – durable construction and a design combining the service and platform bodies – but with the added benefit of being more lightweight, which made it a perfect fit for our customer’s Ford E-Transit chassis.
